What training methods do you use?
We use positive, kind and gentle methods to encourage your dog to repeat desired behaviours and help reduce unwanted behaviours. We don't condone the use of aversive methods such as check chains or any heavy handling as science tells us that this is the least effective way of reducing unwanted behaviour.
Do you guarantee your results?
As Certified Professional Dog Trainers, we closely follow the guidelines set out under the Code of Ethics of the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT). These ethics state that providing a guarantee on results is unethical as many factors beyond the trainers control have an impact on changing behaviour. We invite you to question us further on this.
Are you qualified?
Yes, we are Certified Professional Dog Trainers - Knowledge Assessed through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. In addition, Ros and Nicola have obtained qualifications through the Companion Animal Sciences Institute in Canine and Feline behaviour. Refer to our individual bios in the about us tab for more details.
How do I enrol in a class?
You can enrol online through our online booking system. Alternatively you can call us, or email us and we will send you a form to fill out and return.
Can I do Agility or Flyball for fun?
Yes! We find that most people and their dogs just want to get out and have fun and not compete seriously. However, if you feel you and your dog are up for competition, we can help you get there.
Can I bring my children to classes?
Yes! We encourage it. Children younger than 16 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Your trainer will work with you so all family members can be involved.
